Q - Starting off... Can you each
please state your name, age, what you do in the band and nicknames if you have
any?
A - Kelvin sings, Jeff also does vocals and plays guitar, On guitar, theres
Philip "sex machine" Nguyen, Justin Powell on bass, and Matt Mallouk on drums.
Q - As a band, are all of the members more like a close-knit family or
just business associates with a similar goal?
A - We're totally like a family. we've know each other for over 7 years. Kelvin
and Phil have known each other since the first grade. Matt is the newest to the
family but it seems like we've known him for years.
Q - How did you decide on the name "A Thorn For Every Heart"? Does it have
a special meaning?
A - We just thought up of a bunch of names and we liked this one the best.
Q - What music or artists have inspired you the most or influenced you to
do what you do today?
A - We have many influences. Freddie Mercury, Steve Perry, Reel Big Fish, Jimmy
Eat World, U2, Led Zepplin, 80's Metallica, and so many more....
Q - How would you describe the relationship between the band and your
fans?
A - We're a close bunch. long time friends. With the fans, we're super nice to
and love to hang out with them because they're the only reason why we're doing
what we're doing. We love the fans.
Q - What music or artists are currently in your CD player?
A - Metallica- Kill em All
Q - What bands would you recommend that everyone should hear but has not
gained the exposure that they deserve?

Q - How would you describe your live shows?
A - More energy than Ron Jeremey on video shoot Circa 86'
Q - How would you say that your music and the band itself have evolved
from when the band first started?
A - As time goes by we all mature. So does the music. We just write what we
know.
Q - Since it's now currently February, is there any history or specific
reason behind the song "February"?
A - Last February was the first time we actually left home for tour. so that
song is about leaving home, your loves ones, and friends for the road.
Q - Tell me what inspired you guys to record the covers "Dead Man's Party"
and 'Jelly Belly'?
A - Those 2 songs were first choice for both of those comps. We love Oingo
Boingo and dead man's party has been one of our most favourite songs. Jelly
Belly was one of those songs that we thought should have been a single for the
smashing pumpkins. We love that songs and we thought we could put our touch on
that song.
Q - Many bands argue that mp3's aren't good for promotion and or record
sales. How did you guys use them as a form of promotion to get noticed ?
A - The internet made us what we are today. At first there wasn't many ways for
our music to be heard so we posted them all on our website. People are going to
download music regaurdless. Also, if they download our songs and like it, they
would go out and buy the cd.
Q - Is the band trying to portray any kind of message with the music and
lyrics?
A - We write what we know. we don't like to write about bullshit. If you can
pick up a positive message out of it... then that's cool.
Q - Do you have any thoughts or advice for people trying to start up a
band or already have a young band?
A - Try your best give it your all. All your hard will pay off in different
ways.
Q - Any last comments or shout-outs?
A - We plan on staying on the road forever. So keep an eye out for us. We also
