Q - Starting off... Can you each please state your name, age, what you do in the band and nicknames if you have any?
A - Rex Aurthur - guitar
Todd Caddorette - vocals
Dee Adman - bass
Adam Hempseed - drums

Q - As a band, are all of the members more like a close-knit family or just business associates with a similar goal?
A - More like a "family business" if you will. We all know this is a business venture , and we are all pretty close. We are in it together to achieve a common goal.

Q - How did you decide on the name "Deadsun"? Does it have a special meaning?
A - Meatloaf was already taken.... Actually there is a theory about a universe mirrored to the backside of our own, including a "darkstar" or a "deadsun" . Read up on it , it's fascinating.

Q - What music or artists have inspired you the most or influenced you to do what you do today?
A - Adam - metal music, My dad Bill
Dee - I am inspired by all kinds of heavy music. Nikki Six was one of my childhood idols
Rex- I have been playing music as long as i can remember.my brother Bill inspired me early on.
Todd- Phil Anselmo, Axl Rose, Michael Jackson, because of his performance and dedication..

Q - How would you describe the relationship between the band and your fans?
A - We love everyone of our fans... They are what we do this for.. Every show , every performance, we play as if we we're in front of 100,000 people. We feed off of our fans energy and they feed off ours.

Q - What music or artists are currently in your CD player?

Q - What bands would you recommend that everyone should hear but has not gained the exposure that they deserve?
A - From Zero, Nothingface, Skrape, Chimera

Q - How would you describe your live shows?
A - Explosive , Tight , Hight energy , If you ever see Deadsun live, you will be sold!

Q - What bands would you one day love to tour with?
A - Slipknot, or any other hard rock band that draws a shitload of people

Q - How would you say that your music and the band itself have evolved from when the band first started?
A - Through the years, a few member changes & some ups and downs, we've finally found the right niche for what we do & the guys who can do it. We have evolved to become more melodic and heavier at the same time.

Q - Is there any history or specific reason behind the song "Drowning"?
A-Some personal issues involving drugs, alcohol, (hence the name drowning) and being ripped away from that, the rest is open to interpretation.

Q - Is the band trying to portray any kind of message through the music and lyrics?
A - Life is hard , dont be a pussy... No matter what happens , your alive aren't you?

Q - Do you have any thoughts or advice for people trying to start up a band or already have a young band?
A - Practice (alot) & play sober, plenty of time to party afterwards. You'll be more successfull & be a better player with a clear head, you'll be suprised at the difference. It takes alot of hard work & dedication, so work your ass off, be prepared to make some sacrifices, and you can do what you love.
