Q - You are known as Madside. Where did you come up with the name and does it have any special meaning?
A - WE HAVE A SAYING IN OUR BAND: "THERE'S THE GOOD-SIDE, THE BAD-SIDE, THE UP-SIDE, AND THE MADSIDE!" IT JUST WORKS!

Q - What artists or type of music have influenced you on what you do today?
A - THE RANGE OF MUSIC THAT WE LISTEN TO INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY IS SO WIDE, ENCOMPASSING METAL, TO FUNK, TO PUNK AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN, THAT WE CAN'T NARROW IN DOWN TO JUST A FEW ARTISTS OR BANDS! WE LOVE MUSIC! PLAIN AND SIMPLE!

Q - How long has the band been together for? What would you say that has evolved the band from when it first started to and what it is today?
A - WE HAVE BEEN TOGETHER FOR 3 YEARS NOW. CONSTANTLY WRITING AND TOURING TOGETHER AS A BAND AS OPPOSED TO 4 INDIVIDUALS KEEPS US EVOLVING!

Q - Do you consider yourselves a close-knit family or more less just business associates with the same goal? Do you guys hang out together besides practices and shows?
A - WE'RE FAMILY ALL THE WAY! BAR-B-QUE'S, BIRTHDAYS AND WEEKENDS AT THE BARS! WE'RE BROTHERS!

Q - How would you describe the relationship the band has with eachother and with the fans when on the road or just anywhere?
A - WE'VE ALWAYS VIEWED OUR RELATIONSHIP TOGETHER AS A MARRIAGE OF SORTS. THE UPS AND DOWNS. THE THICK AND THIN! WE LOVE AND RESPECT EACH OTHER. AS FOR OUR FANS...THEY'RE OUR FANS, AND WE'RE THEY'RE FANS! IF IT WASN'T FOR ALL OF THEM, NONE OF THIS IS POSSIBLE! WE LOVE THEM ALL!

Q - What type of message are you trying to portrait through your music?
A - THE ONE MESSAGE WE ALWAYS TRY TO CONVEY IS THIS: "HAVE A POSITIVE OUTLOOK ON LIFE'S EXPERIENCES, AND ROCK THE HELL OUT OF THEM!

Q - What bands do you recommend that everyone should hear but have not gained the exposure that they deserve?
A - SNOT, KING'S-X, SIMON SAYS, AND SPINAL TAP ARE ALL GREAT BANDS THAT THE WORLD NEVER KNEW WELL ENOUGH! (WELL, MAYBE NOT SPINAL TAP, BUT WE LOVE 'EM ANYWAY!)

Q - With the current self-titled release of your album, what would you say your favorite track on it would be. Did you have a hard time trying to pick what songs to put on it (if there were some recorded beforhand)?
A - MIKE- SINKING IN, BRIAN- AMMUNITION, DAVE- I SEE NOTHING, JOHNSON- AMMUNITION! WE HAD MORE THAN ENOUGH MATERIAL FOR THE RECORD. IT WAS A COLLABORATED EFFORT BETWEEN THE BAND, OUR PRODUCER, AND OUR LABEL TO CHOOSE THE SONGS! IT'S TOUGH WHEN YOU LOVE SOME SONGS MORE THAN OTHERS, AND SOME DON'T MAKE THE RECORD, BUT WE ARE ALL VERY STOKED WITH THE TRACK LISTING!

Q - Are you happy with the outcome of the album? Do you plan on releasing an EP anytime soon to support the album?
A - AS I SAID BEFORE, WE ARE ALL STOKED WITH THE ALBUM! WE DID HAVE A 5 SONG EP FLOATING AROUND FOR A BIT PRIOR TO OUR NOVEMBER 9th DEBUT DATE, WHICH IS IN STORES NOW! (THE ALBUM, NOT THE E.P.)

Q - Let's say the band would ever split (lets hope not), what do you see yourselves doing afterwards?
A - CAN ANYBODY SAY "UNEMPLOYMENT BENEFITS!"

Q - What track on the new album do you plan on using as your next single?
A - WE BELIEVE THAT OUR FANS WILL DICTATE WHAT THE NEXT SINGLE OFF OF THE ALBUM WILL BE! ONLY THEY, AND TIME WILL TELL!

Q - Do you have any thoughts or advice for people starting up their own band or already have a young band going?
A - ONE PIECE OF ADVICE WE WANT TO GIVE TO ANY BANDS OUT THERE IS THIS, TAKE CONTROL OF YOUR LIFE AND YOUR DREAMS! NOTHING JUST HAPPENS, IF YOU WANT IT...GO AND GET IT!
