Website:  www.myspace.com/rosebud

Q - Starting off... Can you each please state your name, age, what you
do in the band and nicknames if you have any?

A - My name is Edmund I'm 22 I play guitar and sing in the band. I'm the only band member available at the current time so....For this interview, its all about ME!!!

Q – What previous bands or musical projects have you been involved in?
A - I was in a band called Start Trouble that was on Columbia records. I was also in a band called 3AE on RCA records.

Q - How did you decide on the name "Rosebud"? Does it have a special
meaning?

A - We came up with the name Rosebud from the movie Citizen Kane. Its one of my favourite movies and if you have seen the movie then you will know where Rosebud comes from if you haven't seen the movie  you should!!!

Q - What music or artists have inspired you the most or influenced you
to do what you do today?

A - Eminem is a huge one for me I love his lyrics...also the Beach Boys and the Beatles...NOFX, Lagwagon, Butch Walker, Radiohead, 311, Duncan Sheik, Captain Skeetch and the shrimp shake shooters...the list goes on....

Q - How would you describe the relationship between the band and your
fans?

A - I keep in touch with my fans as much as possible I'm on AOL all the time  (my aim is Edl7958 feel free to IM me) and we also use Myspace a lot it works great for promoting your music and getting to meet new people

Q - What music or artists are currently in your CD player?
A - 311: Greatest Hits
Beach Boys: Pet Sounds
Radiohead: The Bends
Butch Walker: Letters
Taking Back Sunday: whatever the newest CD is called I forget
Muse: Hysteria
NOFX: Punk in Drublic
Straylight Run
Mars Volta: Frances the mute
Beatles: Abbey Road

Q - What bands would you recommend that everyone should hear but has
not gained the exposure that they deserve

A - The Julius Airwave: a band out of Jacksonville, FL they are one of the most amazing bands I have ever heard live and their songs are great as well.
Rosebud: great songs, hot lead singer, great live show they are just all around Rad!! (I know I'm shameless)
Sugar Cult: they are a killer pop punk band
The Redjumsuit Apparatus: Another great band
I can’t think of anything else right now my head hurts and I'm hung-over

Q - How would you describe your live shows?
A - Very, Very high energy, Fun and Funny we try not to take ourselves to seriously because it’s supposed to be fun we playing rock not solving cold fusion

Q - How would you say that your song-writing has evolved from when you
first got into music?

A - My songs don't suck anymore or at least not as much as they used to. Also I'm not afraid to speak my mind. After I heard Eminem's first CD (the slim shady LP) it changed the way I wrote songs forever because I realized its ok to say whatever you want and people usually appreciate it and enjoy it more than sugar coated crap!

Q – Most of your current songs are about past relationships that have
gone bad. Have you now given up on love or are you trying to learn
from your past mistakes?

A - I haven't given up by any means...I don't let the past dictate the future. All the relationships that I had served there purpose and once I write a song or 5 about the situation I get over it. The songs on the EP that we have are actually all about the same girl (except sweet revenge)she was a crazy, crazy bitch!! haha....but yeah love is cool I’m accepting applications for a new girlfriend so if you are interested please email me at Edl7958@aol.com
I’m very cute, sweet, I enjoy long walks on the beach and I’m disease free (at least I think I am) oh yeah I also play guitar and sing!!

Q - Is the band trying to portray any kind of message with the music
and lyrics?

A - Yeah don't trust girls!

Q - Many bands argue that mp3's aren't good for promotion and or
record sales. Since you use digital music to promote you band, what is
your stance on digital music and piracy?

A - Oh god the question! I knew you were gonna ask! Let’s see....Mp3's are a great way to promote your music anyone who says they aren't is a dumbass. As far as piracy goes I'm kind of in the middle on that one. If your offering your music up for free to promote your band that’s one thing but when your whole CD is put on the Internet for people just to take for free that kind of sucks but its a double edged sword because. Having your music available for free gives lots of people who never would have listened otherwise a chance to hear you and that is a great way to gain fans. Soooo I don’t know...hope that was sufficient

Q - Do you have any thoughts or advice for people trying to start up a
band or already have a young band?

A - Don't let yourself become jaded. I have been in two signed bands already both that had mild success and trust me its well worth it just hang in there and work hard! and don't be a fool wrap your tool!!

Q - Any last comments or shout-outs?
A - I just want to say big ups to Brooklyn!!! ( I just heard it was cool to say that)
