Maserati - Inventions For The New Season

"Maserati", the amazing instrumental rock band formed by the following talented musicians in, Coley Dennis (guitar), Matt Cherry (guitar), Jerry Fuchs (drums), Steve Scarborough (bass), have continued writing and playing the music they love, since they formed several years ago. After being together for sometime now, its known creating music is what they do best and there excellence is shown in "Inventions For The New Season" which is there latest and newest record, due in storeson the 17th of March and is released on SugarRush Records.

Where to start? Maserati, the four member instrumentalists are an incredible group. I personally am not a big fan of instrumental rock, I prefer and mainly listen to music with vocals. Although after hearing the eight tracks, I have changed my look on instrumental music. Usually when I hear intrumental music, I automatically think repeatative, plain, and boring, but Maserati has a different style, than what ive recently heard. The CD is far from boring and is quite interesting. The effects in each song, the equipment they've used to produce the album is fantastic and makes the music sound complicated and techniqual, yet each note blends into the next, each riff is brilliant. As I am undecided of which song I like most, I rate each one of them an equal high. I find it's a great source of music to relax too.

After the band argues, "f*** vocals, Maserati doesn't have time for all that mess", showing they have no interest in adding or having an input of vocals in their songs. I strongly agree with them, this band doesnt need a vocalist or a leader, they are doing great without, and with one it would change the way the band sounds. Overall this album is great, and sounds amazing. To anyone's ear you can tell this record has had alot of time put into it. I've chosen to give it rating of 4 out of 5 stars. Whether you're into instrumental rock or not, i strongly suggest its worth checking out and listening too.
