Something With Numbers - Perfect Distraction

In the recent months past, a band by the name of Something With Numbers came out of the dark and into the spotlight with their second full length album "Perfect Distraction", which was released on Below Par Records. The five members originally joined several years back releasing their first record "The Barnicles And Stripes". They followed up with the release of "Etiquette". They came up with the name of the band, when they were discussing amongst themselves, what could it be, with one member suggesting we need something with numbers, and from then on, it stuck.

Something With Numbers have been hitting the music charts with the help of their well known single, "Apple Of The Eye (Lay Me Down)". The single has lifted the band by giving them an enormous amount of radio play across Australian stations, and the chance to be where they are. While their music is mainstream, in the Alternative/Rock/Punk genres, they have been busy touring Australia, while growing such a large fan base. The 11 track, full length album is made up of catchy tunes, and sing along vocals. The songs sound like more time was put into them, than anything on their previous two releases. With the sound and style of the band’s new music, I think it has slightly changed from their earlier releases. This isn't necessarily good or bad, it just proves they didn't rush the production by trying to push this record out.

"Perfect Distraction" is definitely for people who are into the bands’ earlier releases and other bands in the Alternative/Rock/Punk genres.
