Kim Kline - Sampler

Combining the savvy of an industry veteran, the voice of an acclaimed diva, a dynamic personality and looks to die for... meet Singer/Songwriter, Kim Kline. Originally training with Ron Anderson, best known for his work with the Rolling Stones, No Doubt and Janet Jackson, Kim began developing the powerful voice she is known for today. Always looking to hone her talents, Kim now works with renowned vocal technique and performance coach Steven Memel who has trained such artists as Adam Levine and members of Maroon 5, Taryn Manning of Boomkat, Brittany Murphy and Big City Rock.

I was fortunate enough to be able to review four completed tracks on a sampler, performed by the one and only Kim Kline.

Kim Kline emerges into the music scene at an appropriate time. Pop divas and female fronted Rock bands are in full force and are being welcomed with open arms by the average listener. From the first guitar note and angelic chorus, I can tell Kim has the talent to make it big. I would confidently rank her up amongst some of the best in radio/video of today. By the best, I am referring to acts such as Evanescence, Jakalope and Flyleaf just to name a few. Our friends at BMG have kindly supplied us with a four track sampling of her compositions. The sampler kicks things off with the best song ‘Inside’. This is going to be the fundamental song that puts Kim on the map (if she’s not there already). The song is very radio friendly, and has a very memorable chorus that will be playing in your head for days. ‘Sick Reality’ has more of a rock based feel to it. Here Kim sings about the complications of a man stuck between her and another woman. The hook is also very strong on this track and helps bring everything together. ‘Karma’ sounds a lot like an Evanescence song and has a feeling of revenge behind the lyrics. Some could say this shows Kim’s evil and vengeful side and I would agree with that statement. ‘Got To Let It Go’ is a bluesy, smooth rock n roll song. This song shows Kim’s frustrations with a certain relationship and her confidence to move on.

These four tracks are just a taste of what Kim is capable of and it leaves me hungry and wanting more. I am genuinely pleased with every single track and am eagerly anticipating her full length release. The right combination of talent, attitude, ambition and drive ensure that Kim Kline is truly the essence of the true singer/songwriter.
