Small Arms Dealer - A Single
Unifying Theory
I didn’t think I could like a Deep Elm band as
much as I like Latterman, until now. Small Arms Dealer buck popular trends and
stay true to their music while providing a fresh sound in an emo world.
‘A Single Unifying Theory’ provides listeners
with an up-tempo ride that doesn’t become stale. The assault of punk rock hits
your ears and never stops as this is one of the best all around albums to be
released on Deep Elm. Small Arms Dealer use captivating, sing along type
choruses combined with timely tempo changes to keep listeners entertained for
the duration of the record. Some might argue that a record that is only a few
minutes over half an hour might not be able to leave a lasting impression. But,
after hearing songs like “You Sister’s A Werewolf” or “Scumbagsville, CT” all
arguments fall on deaf ears, literally.
If you find yourself tired or all the punk or
emo you hear on radio please do yourself a favour and take a listen to Small
Arms Dealer. ‘A Single Unifying Theory’ might just be what you need to change
your impressions of what good music actually is.
