Sugar Glyder -
We Cracked the Sky
Sugar Glyder formed in late 2002, in the small town of Waxhaw, North Carolina. Originally they had started with only two members, Chris Rijo and Daniel Howie. But by 2003, the band had expanded to include two additional members, Emily Aoyagi and Cory Lambert. In 2008, they released their debut album untitled We Cracked the Sky after releasing some demos and an EP a few years earlier.
They possess all the characteristics of indie-rock, but they incorporate their own unique modern style to it which in the end gives them a very dynamic sound. One could make the comparison of Sugar Glyder to such bands like Dredg, Muse, A Whisper in the Noise, and even Far. They also convey a great progressive, and often experimental sound, especially in songs like "Sleepless We Seem", "Flowers", and "The Good Sheppard".
We Cracked the Sky is essentially eleven tracks of pure bliss for your listening pleasure. They passionately play their own innovative and very honest music which you cannot help but feel apart of.
